refitted and re-lined
A SPECIAL CONSTABLE’S TRUNCHEON, tapered blue
body, turned grip, gold VR and Special Constable, 17Hn., c.
1840, sight wear; and another Truncheon, by Field.
A PAIR OF SADDLE HOLSTERS , turned-over flaps mounted
with a crest in the form of a boar’s head, lower covering with
initials in silver WV, plain leather bridge with leather girdle
strap, 19th Century, strap defective.
A PAINTED TRUNCHEON, slightly tapered body, turned
grip, body painted black with bands of gold and red and large
royal coat-of-arms within ribald and surmounted by crown,
I8in., early 19th Century, cracked.
A CONTINENTAL POWDER HORN, brass nozzle and base, 19th Century; and a Shelter Bust with bronzed finish, of Earl Kitchener on alabaster base.
A DETACHED FLINTLOCK, plate with engraved border of DOG-TOOTH pattern, signed Shavshca, engraved swan-neck COCK, 4in., early 18th Century, minor pitting overall.
A COPPER POWDER FLASK by Bartram &Co., embossed
with flutes and studs, 8lin. ; a plain copper Flask by G. &J.
W. Hawksley, 8in., spring defective; and a plain tin Flask, by
Frith, with brass nozzle.
TEK DECORATIVE INDIAN ARROWS, with different shaped HEADS, some with painted decoration, other s with copper, BRASS or silver bands, ail re-feathered, decorative painted MONMV.

embossed on either side with scallop, 8in., spring defective;
a Dixon flask, with floral trellis pattern, 7lin., nozzle dam-
aged; a Pewter Flask by Ward & Sons, embossed with setter,
bird and scrolls, 6gin.; and a leather Shot Pouch, one side
embossed with game.

AN IMPERIAL GERMAN POLICE SHAKO of leather, the front with brass eagle badge, c. 1814, skull crazed.

A LARGE POWDER HORN, surface carved with large foliate pattern around central plaque, 18in., 19th Century; and a copper Powder Flask, with bush pattern and dog, game and trophies, 7in., base dented, charger defective.
OFFICER’S SHAKO OF FRENCH NATIONAL GUARD, black felt skull, black peak, gilt rooster badge with voided 65, painted cockade, large tufted pom-pom surmounted by tricolour bound tuft, maker’s label inside, c. 1848.

A POWDER FLASK, both sides embossed with shell and bush pattern, graduated charger, top stamped Patent, 7jin., 19th Century; and a Tin Flask, both sides embossed with hanging game, 8in., 19th Century, some corrosion.
A POWDER FLASK, both sides embossed with flutes, spring-operated cut-off, top stamped Bartram & Co., 7§in., spring defective; Another with plain sides, top stamped Sykes Patent, 6in. ; and a bag-shaped Leather Shot Flask with brass tubular measure, 7in., all 19th Century.
A JAPANESE FLYING OVERALL, lined with white fur, zip fastener at front, twin breast pockets and ankles, fur collar, belt, manufacture date stamp of Showa 13th Year.
A COURT DRESS comprising black velvet tail coat,
breeches ensued, bicorn hat by Strickland & Sons, a pair of
patent leather shoes, detachable steel mounted buckles in
case, white silk waistcoat, two pairs of socks and a sword with
etched blade, hilt with down-turned guard, leather scabbard,
retaining velvet frog, in japanned tin trunk, escutcheon
inscribed Honble. R.A. Balfour.
